Usage

It is a combined part. J23014 is a constitutive promoter in E.coli. ArsR is a regulator protein, which can bind asrR promoter and be used as a biological strategy to detect arsenic ions .When the part works, the cell can express Arsr protein and its ability to bind asrR promoter related to the concentration of arsenic ions so that the cell has the function of arsenic ions detection.

Biology

ArsR protein is a repressor protein. It can bind the asrR promoter to prevent downstream gene expression and leave the promoter if it senses arsenic ions. To make E.coli. cell achieve arsenic ions detection, we need make the part connect with asrR promoter and report protein sequence, such as fluorescent protein. So we can determine arsenic ions concentration by measuring fluorescence intensity.
